Honey, Please Take out the Trash

The Board reviewed the trash bodega (store room) with Julio and found that many items deposited there are not being picked up by the municipality.

We need your help.

Please do not put items there that will not be collected.

Here is a helpful list of  what is and isn’t allowed:

1. No construction debris is allowed
2. No garden debris is allowed
3. Please place everything in double bags as they tear easily or make bags less heavy to avoid tearing
4. Nothing in boxes or anything other than properly tied bags or sacs
5. No broken appliances, fans, chairs, tables, electronics, etc etc…
6. The municipality does not recycle. Recycling material can be taken to our neighbor in Sardinal who uses the proceeds to feed her family.

Note:  The municipality does do non-garbage pickups once every 4-6 months where they pick up chairs, appliances, metal, etc. We will try to identify when this occurs and notify the community of the scheduled pick up day.
